Elin Baklid-Kunz, MBA, CHC, CPC, CPMA, CCS
Kunz is a national speaker and published author on topics related to medical practice compliance, coding, reimbursement, chart audits and federal regulations. Her twenty years of healthcare experience includes six years as Director of Physician Services for a large health system, seven years in corporate finance and four years in compliance. She presents workshops for the American Academy of Professional Coders and delivers keynote presentations for Eli Research Coding Institute & Audio Educator. Her experience includes freelance writing for HCPro and six years as adjunct professor and curriculum developer at Seminole State College where she taught courses pertaining to healthcare reimbursement and data analysis and served on the advisory committee for the health information management (HIM) program. Kunz earned her master’s degree in business administration from Stetson University where she currently serves as Head Judge for the Southeast Regional Business Ethics Case Competition (SERBECC). She is Certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC®), Certified Professional Coder (CPC®), Certified Professional Medical Auditor (CPMA®), Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) and AHIMA-Approved ICD-10-CM/PCS Trainer.
