John Walsh lives in New York City where he works as a Senior Vice President of Finance and Strategy for the Madison Square Garden Company, which owns and operates the MSG Arena, Radio City Music Hall and the Beacon Theatre in New York, the Forum in Los Angeles, the Chicago Theater, the Wang Theatre in Boston, the New York Knicks and the New York Rangers. John leads teams that support the day-to-day operations for all venues, the development of creative content for an MSG-owned company in San Francisco and the construction of new and innovative entertainment venues (called the Sphere) in Las Vegas and London.
Previously, John spent 18 years in Finance and Strategy with the Walt Disney Company where he began his career as an intern. In a very short time, John became a top executive with various roles supporting everything from Park & Resort Operations to Capital Investments to New Guest Experiences and Technology. He still serves as the Chairman of the Board for Disney’s member-owned Partners Federal Credit Union.
However, John’s real passion and purpose is personal development, leadership that serves others and making a difference in the world. He recently founded a new startup company whose mission and vision is to help and inspire millions of students and young professionals from around the world to prepare for life and a career after school and to stand out early and often when it matters most.
John is a frequent Guest speaker here at the University of Florida and he has an MBA from Hough.
